Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

As you disembark at the heart of Tanzania, the peaceful city of Arusha welcomes you with open arms. The Arusha Coffee Lodge, hidden amidst the emerald green of one of Tanzania’s most extensive coffee plantations, offers not just a room but a sensory experience.

Here, you can indulge in a guided walk among the coffee bushes, learning about the bean-to-cup process, followed by a tasting that delights the palate. As night falls, the soft chatter of nocturnal wildlife lulls you into a restful slumber, preparing you for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Serengeti Adventure Begins

Wake up to the lively sounds around the estate and enjoy a fresh breakfast with ingredients from the area. Then, get ready to fly high into the sky. As your plane soars, look down to see the beautiful Tanzanian lands below, all the way to the famous Serengeti National Park. When you land, you’ll go straight into the wilderness on a safari drive, spotting animals and trees across the vast plains.

After a day full of adventure, you’ll relax at the luxurious Lemala Nanyukie, right in the wild. From your private deck, you can end your day watching the twinkling stars in the vast African sky.

Day 3: Exploring Central Serengeti

Begin your day enveloped by the Serengeti’s awakening. Here, amidst Africa’s raw beauty, a day of bespoke exploration in this legendary national park awaits you.

Your Serengeti National Park experience is customisable. Today’s schedule will align with your preferences, crafted with the insight of your guide. Opt for a morning game drive followed by a leisurely lunch and rest back at your lodge, then venture out again for an afternoon drive. Alternatively, you could immerse yourself in the wild from dawn to dusk with a picnic lunch amidst nature.

Central Serengeti’s year-round wildlife spectacle, especially in the Seronera River Valley, is unparalleled. During the dry season, from June to November, the concentration of wildlife, including impalas, buffalos, hippos, and big cats, is exceptionally high. Your overnight stay will be at Lemala Nanyukie, where luxury meets the wild, offering a serene end to your day under the stars.

Day 4: In the Heart of the Serengeti

Your day begins with breakfast at Lemala Nanyukie before you depart for a full day of discovery in the Serengeti, famed for its ‘big five’ and the mesmerising wildebeest migration. Enjoy the vast landscapes and wildlife with a picnic lunch, and after the sun dips below the horizon, return to Lemala Nanyukie. Here, you can relax, dine, and recount the day’s adventures before another peaceful night’s stay.

Day 5: Journey from Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Enjoy one last game drive in the Central Serengeti after breakfast, returning for a hearty brunch. Post-lunch, you’ll set off eastward towards the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arriving in the late afternoon, you’ll check in at the Ngorongoro Melia Lodge for some well-deserved relaxation followed by dinner. Overnight, you’ll rest at the lodge, perched on the highlands, with stunning views of the crater.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a unique place where humans (the Maasai), their livestock, and wild animals coexist. The Ngorongoro Crater, a natural amphitheatre, is a sanctuary for thousands of animals, including the elusive black rhino. Here, you can witness large elephants with impressive tusks, a testament to the crater’s global fame for its pachyderm residents.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Departure

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a world-class attraction often hailed as a world wonder. This ‘Garden of Eden’ is lush with grasslands, forests, and a lake that beckons herds and predators alike, creating a prime spot to spot the Big Five.

A picnic lunch awaits in the heart of the crater. Savour the sights and sounds of this wildlife haven before ascending the crater’s rim. From there, you’ll be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, carrying the memories of a lifetime.
