Tour Overview
Discover the hidden splendour of Tanzania on this 4-day flying safari to Nyerere National Park, an untouched and less-travelled gem compared to the more frequented national parks in the north. Established in 2019 and sprawling over 30,000 square kilometres, Nyerere National Park is now the largest national park in Africa, formed from the renowned Selous Game Reserve.
The park is a sanctuary for Tanzania’s largest elephant population and a haven for a rich array of wildlife, including lions, leopards, African hunting dogs, buffaloes, and hippos. Visitors can expect to encounter an impressive variety of species, such as bushbucks, red and blue duikers, elands, hartebeests, hyenas, giraffes, oryx, reedbucks, impalas, waterbucks, and zebras, making it a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
Nyerere National Park is celebrated for its diverse safari experiences. These range from serene and romantic boat safaris along the Great Rufiji River to exciting fishing excursions and immersive walking safaris. Complementing these are classic game drives through some of the continent’s most thriving and dynamic wildlife areas. This safari offers an unparalleled adventure, immersing travellers in the raw and majestic beauty of Africa’s remote wilderness.
